Sahih Bukhari in Urdu Complete, also know as Sahih Bukhari Sharif. Sahih Bukhari in Arabic صحيح البخاري, Sahih meaning is authentic or sound. Sahih Bukhari Sharif is one of the six major collections of hadith based on the teachings, sayings, traditions, and practices of Muhammad. Regarded as the most authentic and authoritative book in Sunni Islam. He spent sixteen years compiling it, and ended up with 2,602 hadith (9,082 with repetition). Each one of Sahih Bukhari’s 97th chapters contains references to relevant verse from the Quran, indicating the meaning of the hadiths quoted.

Sahih Bukhari is a collection of sayings and Sunnah of Hazrat Muhammad Sallaho Alayhi Wasallam. The reports of the Hazrat Muhammad Sallaho Alayhi Wasallam sayings and Sunnah are called Ahadis. Bukhari lived a couple of centuries after the Hazrat Muhammad Sallaho Alayhi Wasallam wisal; and worked extremely hard to collect his ahadis.

Each report in his collection was check for compatibility with the holy Quran Karim. And the veracity of the chain of reporters had to be painstakingly established. Sahih Bukhari collection is recognize by the overwhelming majority of the Muslim world to be one of the most authentic collections of the Sunnah of the Hazrat Muhammad Sallaho Alayhi Wasallam. Imam Bukhari (full name Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Ismail bin Ibrahim bin al-Mughira al-Ja’fai) was born in 194 A.H. and died in 256 A.H. His collection of hadith is considered second to none.

He spent sixteen years compiling it and ended up with 2,602 hadith (9,082 with repetition). His criteria for acceptance into the collection were amongst the most stringent of all the scholars of ahadis. It is important to realize, however, that the sahih Bukhari collection is not complete: there are other scholars who worked as Imam Bukhari did and collected other authentic reports.
